Ethics Training: 2-Part Webinar Series

Information

In 2014, the Florida legislature mandated four hours of ethics training for all municipal constitutional officers every calendar year (January 1 - December 31). The Northwest Florida League of Cities and the Suwannee River League of Cities are offering two live online trainings. Both webinars are free to attend as a benefit of your municipality's annual membership. Participating in the FULL four hours of these webinar meets the state requirement for annual ethics training.

Please Note:

This training is for active NWFLC members only. To receive your certificate for ethics training events, your municipality's dues
must be paid for 2020.

Registration

To meet the state requirement for annual ethics training, attendees must register for both sessions below. Attendees will receive a distinct certificate for each session.   These sessions will not be recorded and attendance will be tracked.

Meet Our Presenter

J. Jerome “Jerry” Miller

Jerry Miller is a Pre-eminent lawyer and has been admitted to practice law since 1970. He was employed by the Florida Department of Natural Resources as Assistant to the General Counsel, and next entered the service of his country in the United States Air Force, as a Judge Advocate. He has been in private practice in the Florida Panhandle since 1975.

 

He has extensive experience in his practice areas of law, having served thousands of individuals, families and businesses, as well as seven Florida municipalities. He is Peer Review Rated as “AV” by Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest rating status available to attorneys. When a lawyer achieves Peer Review Rated status, he or she has earned an additional level of validation for the professional skills and high ethical standards displayed through actions and work product. The designation reflects the confidential opinions of both rated and non-rated peers from the lawyer’s Bar and/or area of legal practice.
